This 20-day trip started in the capital of Lima. Followed by a flight to Arequipa, overnight trip to Colca Canyon then a bus to Puno, boat to Taquille Island on Lake Titicaca, train to Cusco, train to Machu Picchu, flight to Puerto Maldonado jungle lodge, and ending with a flight back to Lima

6 Every major city in Peru has a central plaza known as Plaza De Aramas. This is the Catedral in Lima's plaza de aramas, also known as Plaza Mayor, on a site chosen by Francisco Pizarro in the 18th century.

17 Lima, the capital of Peru, lies along the coast and for most of the year is socked in with a marine layer of fog. Plant life relies on the fog for moisture as it has not rained in Lima for over 10 years.
